LEAD Base Tuition
Checks should be made payable to Church of the King and the memo section of the check should be left blank. $2,000 of the Base Tuition amount is tax deductible. Due to the rigorous schedule of LEAD, there is not an opportunity to have an outside job. Thus, it is very important that you have a sufficient source of funds for your personal needs, auto insurance, gas and no outstanding debts. We recommend that students start the internship with $1000.00 to $1,500.00 of personal savings or support.
Grace College of Divinity
Students will take a minimum of 12 credit hours and will enroll as students of Grace College of Divinity. Students will pay tuition directly to Grace College of Divinity. This allows students to apply for scholarships, grants, and loans. Books and supplies are not included in this cost and students are responsible to purchase books by the first day of class. Grace classes are taught by Church of the King pastors and staff in a live, interactive classroom environment. For questions regarding the specific courses you will be taking and the teachers who will be teaching please contact the LEAD Department at the Church of the King office at 985-727-7017. For specific questions regarding finances and transferability please contact Grace College directly at 910-221-2224 or visit gcdivinity.org.
Israel Study Tour
Tuition does not cover the cost of the Israel Study Tour which is $3,000 to $3,500. Students will be responsible to cover this cost and will be trained to raise this money through personal support letters to their network of friends, family, and supporters during their time at LEAD. Students do not have to have their Israel money to begin the program.
Housing
Live with a Host Home: We will provide a home for you to live in. Home Sponsors are members of Church of the King and must complete a thorough interview process before being accepted as a host home sponsor. In addition to a bedroom and laundry facilities, home sponsors also serve as a source of encouragement and support throughout the year.
Global Mission Trip
Tuition does not cover the cost of the mission trip which is usually to Central America.
Local Mission Trip
Tuition does not cover the cost of the local mission trip in the US.
Passport
LEAD Students are required to have a valid passport by orientation weekend. Passports must be shown at orientation for verification. Students may request that the LEAD office hold their passport for safe keeping.
Insurance
LEAD Students are responsible to provide health insurance effective for the duration of your stay at LEAD. This insurance should cover travel outside of the United States. While at LEAD, you will be considered a student which may help reduce insurance costs.
Transportation
LEAD students are required to have their own vehicles and valid drivers licenses. Your vehicle must be in good running condition. You will be driving from your home to the gym and the church daily, as well as many ministry opportunities and activities that are off-campus. Proof of auto insurance is required.
Dating
The nine month LEAD experience is designed with the primary purpose of maximizing the spiritual, intellectual, physical and social growth of the students. It’s much like giving a tithe of their lives to God. Therefore we require that students end any dating relationship that they are in before coming to LEAD. We also require that they refrain from any pursuit of the opposite sex during the 10 months. This creates an environment which will foster the maximum personal growth which is the goal of LEAD.
